Religious Studies

New Religious Studies 15, 25, and 35 courses are available in 2009-2010.

We are pleased to announce some additions to the High School courses we will be offering at Argyll this fall. These courses are Religious Studies 15 – 25 – 35. Students enrolling in the Religious Studies 15 course will have the opportunity to do an overview of the Old Testament to gain a spiritual understanding of the story of God through the ages. In the Biblical studies 25 course students will gain spiritual insights into who Christ is through His life and teachings. The early church is the topic of the Religious Studies 35 course with a focus on a spiritual understanding of the early church.

Each of these courses will add five credits toward a High school diploma. Also, none of them requires prerequisites, so students may choose to do all three or any one or two. As an added benefit, the Religious Studies 35 course will help students to meet the diploma requirement for ten credits at the grade 12 level other than English and Social Studies.

These courses are taught from a Christian perspective and the only textbook is the Bible. They may be done online or offline.

For a detailed description of these courses, see the ADLC website.
