The Aboriginal Circle program offers a full APS program where students can be challenged spiritually, intellectually and emotionally through a ReachOut method that allows flexibility to attend ceremony, sacred events and opportunities to practice their own culture.
Students:
- Receive a full-program of studies.
- Meet with their teacher once-a-week at a location of their convenience.
- Complete a Program Plan and Goal Planning documents in consultation with their families and teacher.
- Learn about their culture in consultation with their families and teacher.
Families:
- Complete a Program Plan and Goal Planning documents in consultation with their student and teacher.
- Teach their son/daughter/grandson/granddaughter about their culture in consultation with their families and teacher.
- Encourage their son/daughter/grandson/granddaughter to 'stay on track' in their schoolwork.
Teacher:
- Maintains weekly meetings with his/her students.
- Provide structure/support for all students.
- Minimizes barriers to learning for all students.
